Middle East resellers attend annual NEC Computers' EMEA partner conference in Malta

interFRONTIERS, NEC Computers' Business Development partner in Mediterranean, Middle East and (English speaking) Africa recently attended NEC Computers' Reseller Event titled "At the Crossroads" with key regional partners from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan.

The event held on 26th and 27th April 2006 in Malta, is one of the many opportunities of NEC Computers to meet their local partners around the EMEA region, share the NEC Corporate vision and channel strategy.

In addition to presentations from key NEC Computers' EMEA personnel, there were special workshops under the new "NEC Academy" with live demonstrations of some of the latest technology being offered by NEC Computers especially in servers and solutions.

"We are pleased with the partner turnout at this NEC Computers reseller event. Overall feedback from the partners has been excellent especially with regards to the NEC Academy Workshops on NEC Products, Services and Solutions, & particularly Security solutions where NEC is one of the market leaders," said Lenia Iacovides, Managing Director, interFRONTIERS.

"The concept of the workshops and one to one meetings follows our objective to have feedback and interactivity between NEC Computers and the local partners," said Jean-Claude Tagger, President & CEO, NEC Computers.

The event was attended by key decision makers from all the NEC Computers' channel partners around EMEA and VIP representatives from Microsoft, Intel and the EMEA management from NEC Computers. Hisanobu Mori representing the parent company, NEC Corporation, attended the event to personally welcome and meet the partners.

To do this, we need the support of our channel partners in this region,' said Hisanobu Mori, Executive Expert Overseas Business Promotion, NEC Corporation. 'Events like this is our opportunity to share our global road map and strategy to help our partners grow their NEC business and to maximize opportunities.'

The conference lasted over two days and was spread over two separate sessions: the morning sessions included corporate presentations on strategy, roadmaps on the complete range of products and solutions. Afternoon sessions included workshops not just on products & solutions but also on marketing and sales tools, and personalised meetings between the management of NEC Computers, interFRONTIERS and the individual partners to help address specific opportunities or special projects.
