Dubai to share tourism expertise with Turkey & Greece

The Director General of the Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Mr. Khalid A Bin Sulayem met with high-profile delegations from Turkey and Greece at the Dubai stand at Arabian Travel Market 2006 and discussed various means of boosting trade and tourism relations between Dubai and the two countries.

The Turkish delegation that called upon Mr. Khalid A Bin Sulayem included the Turkish Tourism Minister Mr. Atilla Koc and the Director General of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Ozgur Ozalan who discussed various means of bolstering the relationship between Dubai and Turkey. They agreed that there was tremendous potential in the exchanging and sharing of expertise in the travel, trade and tourism sector.

Mr. Sulayem outlined the efforts of the DTCM to showcase Dubai to the world and shared the success story of the DTCM in positioning Dubai as the leading trade and tourism hub of the world.

The Greek delegation consisting of the President of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, Mr. Dimitris Lampadarios, Greek Ambassador to Dubai Dr. Panayotis Theodoracopulos and Mr. Vassilis Skronias, First Counsellor for Economic & Commercial Affairs, Embassy of Greece in Dubai held fruitful round of talks with Mr. Khalid A Bin Sulayem.

Mr. Sulayem highlighted Dubai's rapid pace of progress and the iconic projects that have given Dubai the image of being the fastest growing place in the world.

The ongoing ATM 2006 being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre is Middle East's premier travel and tourism fair attracting travel and tour professionals from different parts of the world.
