$120m Iraqi road projects

The Iraqi Minister of Housing and Construction, Jasim Mohammed Ja'far, has met with officials of other government departments, and the Ashur State Company, to discuss infrastructure improvements, reported the Iraq Directory. One key project concerns the construction of a new $120m 70km highway around Baghdad and the construction of internal bridges in order to ease traffic congestion. The development of the Dora-Yousifiya road and the Hilla-Kish road is seen as a major priority.
