Anjali Shirke, the newly appointed Sales Manager for GAC Marine Logistics in the Indian Subcontinent, will oversee the consolidation of the company's profile in the region.
GML Director Chris Steibelt says that with ever more maritime companies relocating their technical and purchasing functions to India, the region is a prime market for GML's integrated 'door-to-deck' ship spares delivery services. GML's Mumbai office is well-positioned to support this positive trend and further consolidate the company's stature as a leading logistics service provider, he added.

"The Indian Subcontinent is strategically located between the Middle East, Africa and the Far East. It is therefore important that we have a highly professional hub in this region to meet the vast demand for our service. GML will be looking to serve the needs of maritime community in the region and establish strong relationships with new clients,"

Steibelt explained.

In order to boost the company's profile in the region, GML also announced that the Mumbai office will be headed by newly appointed sales manager Anjali Shirke, who brings over 12 years of management and operations experience in the local logistics industry.

Her immediate priorities are to reinforce the GML brand and promote its specialised ship spares supply chain solutions directly to the Indian-based shipping community. Shirke will also highlight GAC's global purchasing agreements with major air and sea carriers which enable GML to offer its customers favourable rates and space access.

Established in 2003 with the specific purpose to offer ship owners and management companies an integrated "door-to-deck" service to transport ship spares around the world, GML currently has coordination centres in Dubai, Singapore and Oslo.
