Wireless-N Gateway (WAG300N), Broadband Router (WRT300N) and Notebook Adapter (WPC300N), which will be built to the 802.11n Draft Specification, are expected to lead the segment in the local market soon.
Predicted to become the next standard for wireless networks, the 802.11n draft specification includes a number of mandatory features that help improve the overall user experience. These features include enhancements to both the speed and range of wireless networks and calls for mixed mode operation and backward compatibility.
With up to four times the range and up to 12 times the throughput of Wireless-G*, products are capable of delivering wireless networks with the capacity to surf the web, enjoy multiple streams of high definition video, listen to digital music collections and make Internet phone calls - all at the same time.
"This wireless market is growing phenomenally, and Linksys is far ahead of its nearest competitors," commented Mohammad Hoda, Regional Manager for Middle East & Africa.
"We forecast the wireless market for consumers and small businesses in the UAE will maintain stable growth in the upcoming years"
he added.
