The award is based on the store's consistent performance in periodic mystery shopping campaigns conducted by DSES. Out of the twenty one retail outlets monitored, the Giordano store emerged as the best choice, after an evaluation of the attitude, knowledge and competence of the staff.

"This is a great encouragement for all of us at Giordano. Customer service is the driving force of our operations and we always strive to make shopping at Giordano a pleasant experience for all. We invest heavily in staff training and technology and employ best management practices to ensure that customers are served efficiently and promptly, "

said Ishwar Chugani, Executive Director for Giordano Middle East.

Established in 1993, the Bur Juman store is Giordano's first outlet in the region. Today, Giordano owns and operates 120 stores in the Middle East.

"Dubai Service Excellence Scheme champions the cause of businesses in the service sector and further establishes Dubai's status as a great shopping destination, "added Chugani.

One of the early members of DSES, Giordano became the first apparel retailer in 2003 to collect the Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme (DQAP) Award. All Giordano stores in Dubai have since then been DSES certified.
