The trophy returned back to the German capital for preparations preceding the kick-off of the most awaited for sports competition world wide, the FIFA World Cup™ finals.
The Trophy Tour brought by Coca-Cola, received an exceptional amount of media coverage, starting with its arrival at King Khaled International Airport on 28th April, up to its departure. FIFA representatives, Mr. Alexander Koch and Mr. Emmanuel Maradas who accompanied the trophy, expressed their gratitude and thanks to His Highness Prince Sultan Bin Abdel Aziz, the General President of Youth Welfare and Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and his deputy His Royal Highness Prince Nawaf Bin Faisal Bin Abdel Aziz for their generous welcome and hospitality for the FIFA official delegation and the representatives of The Coca-Cola Company.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation received many appreciation calls for their exceptional organization of the Trophy Tour in Riyadh, starting with a great welcome at the airport, followed by the trophy's appearance in the 'Kul Al Riyadah' television program attended by Mr. Abdallah Al Debel of the Federation, FIFA, and Coca-Cola representatives. The second day following its appearance on TV, was full of excitement; the day's program began at 1 pm, with the Trophy being offered to His Royal Highness Prince Nawaf and Sultan; this was followed by a press conference which received a great amount of media coverage. The trophy then made its way to Mamlakah Mall where more than 30,000 fans were waiting to capture their photos with it. Finally, the trophy made its final appearance before its departure, at the Four Season's hotel, where an extravagant dinner was hosted by the Saudi Football Federation.
Members of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation expressed their sincere recognition and appreciation to all the partners that made this trophy tour a great success, especially FIFA and Coca-Cola representatives for their support, Mamlakah mall for showcasing the trophy, and last but not least, the media for its support and coverage. The Federation also hoped that all parties involved will continue their support to developing the football game and other sports in the Kingdom.
Outstanding impact of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour to Riyadh
One week has passed since the FIFA World Cup Trophy's visited the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh, marking the thirtieth and final city of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour brought by Coca-Cola.
