that operate under the same stringent safety and service standards defined by Jet
Aviation.
Jet Aviation introduced the new program this April to a select group of air charter
operators. Until today, one membership agreement and several memorandums of understanding have been signed. Jet Aviation will roll out Skylliance in Europe at EBACE with plans to continuously expand in the future.
"We wanted to set another industry benchmark,"
said Jet Aviation's Martin Bernegger,
senior vice president and general manager of the company's EMEA charter division.
"The worldwide charter industry is highly fragmented, consisting of hundreds of
providers with vastly different standards and procedures. Skylliance is an alliance of high
quality air charter operators and aircraft working to stringent safety and service
standards as defined by us". Before joining Skylliance, Jet Aviation will audit each
operator, which must have its own procedures in place in accordance with the respective
Civil Aviation Authorities (JAR-Ops 1 / EASA). To ensure that the program delivers its
promises and maintains the highest levels of quality, Jet Aviation will carry out annual
audits on each member.
Safety, service, reliability, privacy and saving time are key concepts that underpin the
Skylliance brand. These will be present throughout the entire process of booking a flight
and flying with a member of the program. Visually, customers will see the Skylliance
logo and branding on decals on the aircraft and on crew uniform and comfort items when
on board. Skylliance can be visited at www.skylliance.com.
Air charter operators that would like to enter the program will pay a one-time entrance
fee and annual membership fees depending on size and number of aircraft joining
Skylliance while Jet Aviation provides the entire marketing and sales support.
This will definitely create a win-win solution for clients and Skylliance members. Clients, because they benefit from higher standards in safety and services, and members from increasedrevenue generated by the newly built alliance," adds Bernegger.
