  • PRESS RELEASE

Denton Wilde Sapte Real Estate solicitor Mairi Anne Bowie moves on secondment to Dubai Festival City this month to provide legal advice to the Al Futtaim Group, one of the Gulf's biggest corporations, over the next six months.

Mairi Anne will advise the Al Futtaim Group on real estate issues in connection with the Dubai Festival City project, drafting pro-forma leases and negotiating leases.

"I'm very excited to be working on a project of this scale," comments Mairi Anne. "I expect that I will see it through to the completion of the first phase before I head back in November."

Dubai Festival City is one of the Gulf region's largest ever mixed use development projects, with a projected value of more than $12 billion. Based along four kilometres of Dubai Creek in the centre of the city, the site will offer a range of housing, hotels, schools, shopping centres and a golf course and country club.

"I'm glad that Mairi Anne will be lending her expertise to Al Futtaim's landmark project, and hope it will help to strengthen our relationship with this important Middle Eastern group," says Dubai managing partner Neil Cuthbert.

Denton Wilde Sapte has offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Oman, where teams are also advising on the seafront developments Blue City and the Wave Project, which will offer luxury accommodation and resort facilities.
