Nakilat to get 50 LNG ships

The Qatar Gas Transport Company is expecting 50 new LNG ships by 2012, with deliveries starting from Q3 2007, reported The Peninsula. The ships are a combination of QFlex and QMax type, which at 215,000 and 265,000 cubic metres capacity are 50-70% larger than conventional LNG vessels. They are being built by Korean firms Daewoo, Hyundai and Samsung.
