Saudi signs $2.67bn petro JV

Saudi's National Industrialization Company and Dutch firm Basell Polyolefins have formed a $2.67bn joint venture company to produce ethylene and polyethylene, according to Arab News. Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Company will produce about 1m tons per year of ethylene, 285,000 tpy of propylene, 400,000 tpy of high-density polyethylene and 400,000 tpy of low-density polyethylene.
