Ghaith Al Ghaith, Executive Vice President Commercial Operations Worldwide, Emirates Airline and Group, said:
"The packages are proving to be an overwhelming success - match tickets for the 2006 FIFA World Cup are the most prized in sport and this is reflected across the network."
"This year's FIFA World Cup will be the most-watched football tournament in history and we are delighted to be able to offer our passengers the chance to be there in person and soak up what will be a unique sporting occasion."
Football fans choosing to fly with Emirates, which recently signed up to continue as a FIFA Partner from 2007 to 2014, have the chance to attend any game, subject to availability, from the opening clash between hosts Germany and Cost Rica all the way through to the final in Berlin on 9th July.
Followers of the Beautiful Game are being offered complimentary tickets if they take advantage of the special packages on flights to any of the airline's European destinations.
In addition to the complimentary match ticket, the Emirates' packages include a return air ticket to the destination of choice as well as hotel accommodation for two nights (room-only basis), in either 2, 3, 4 or 5 star properties in one of 12 cities where 2006 FIFA World Cup™ matches are being played, airport and airline taxes and surcharges, taxes and service fees. The offer does not include visas, airport transfers, transfers from country of disembarkation to Germany or transfers to the football stadia.
And by the time Emirates blows the final whistle on the deal, every match ticket will have gone for an event that will be the most watched sporting spectacle of all time.
The offers are valid for all 64 FIFA World Cup™ matches between 9th June 2006 to 9th July 2006 and passengers can opt to watch one or more of the matches in Germany, as long as they meet booking requirements and reserve their hotel accommodation through Emirates at the time of booking.
