AD cuts emission levels

The Technical Committee, chaired by the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi, has ruled that 20% of vehicles in the emirate must convert to using clean natural gas by 2012, reported Gulf News. CNG is a cleaner alternative to fuel and EAD believes that this reduction in fuel usage will have a significant effect on Abu Dhabi's air quality. Government owned vehicles, such as buses and taxis, will be among the first to be converted.
