Dubai Financial Market announces listing of Gulf Finance House

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) announced listing shares of Gulf Finance House (GFH), the Bahrain-based financial institution on DFM.

GFH, which was established in 1999 in the Kingdom of Bahrain as an Islamic investment bank, is also traded on the Bahrain and Kuwait Stock Exchanges.

Foreign investors (non GCC Nationals) will be able to acquire up to 49% of the company's shares. Trading in GFH's stock will officially start on Sunday May 14, 2006.

GFH operates in investment banking activities and related financial and advisory services. All activities are carried out in compliance with Islamic Shari'a.

'The listing of GFH comes in line with DFM's strategy to offer diversified options that meet demands of investors. This also enhances DFM's role in attracting investments through the listing of local and regional companies on DFM.'



The listing of GFH brings the total number of banks traded on DFM to eight, total number of companies to 35, and 52 securities in total. We are delighted to welcome GFH to the DFM'

The company is classified within the banking sector on DFM. The company's shares given the trading symbol (GFH) shall appear on DFM screens, trading systems, and publications.
