Palestine asks for funds

The Palestinian Health Minister, Bassem Naim, yesterday asked the Arab League and other nations to provide it with $4.3m for healthcare and to prevent a humanitarian disaster, reported the AP. The Health Ministry usually spends around $9m a month to run Palestinian clinics and hospitals. India, meanwhile, has pledged $2.2m worth of aid to the Palestinians.
