Robert Brown new Director at BDO Jawad Habib

Robert is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He holds a masters degree in commerce obtained from the University of Johannesburg.
Robert has more than 15 years of experience and strong international exposure having spent a large part of his career working in Europe, North America and Bermuda. He has accumulated experience in all areas of audit and business advisory services including external audit, internal audit, due diligence and IT audit.

Additionally, he has had significant exposure to IT related consulting work and has specialized knowledge and experience designing and implementing business process controls organizations that are heavily dependent on IT.

He has also performed as significant amount of work in the area of IT Project Governance and Risk Management. Robert has had a wide range of industry experience and exposure to well known organizations. In particular, he has specialized in providing services to clients in the financial services sector with a particular emphasis on insurance. Robert has worked for some of the leading audit firms in the world including Ernst & Young and Deloitte. He has also worked in a senior role within the Internal Audit division of XL Capital (a leading global business to business insurance and reinsurance carrier).

Prior to joining BDO Jawad Habib he was working with Deloitte as Director in charge of their Enterprise Risk Services division for East Africa.
