United Group for Projects announces Qatar's first International Shopping Festival

United Group For Projects, one of Qatar's fastest growing companies, today announced it will host the country's first ever shopping festival: International Trade Fair 2006.

Thousands are expected to take part in the six-day event which starts on May 24 until May 29 at the Qatar International Exhibition Centre, company officials said.

'We are very excited about this year's shopping festival as it is the first truly international shopping extravaganza to take place in Qatar,' said Qatar Expo Manager, Nicola Pero.

'We've had a tremendous response from retailers taking part in the festival this year and word spread extremely quickly as we've been receiving many enquiries from more European and South American companies interested in taking part in the festival in future years,' she added.

The shopping festival hours are from 10 am until 1 pm. And 5 pm until 10 pm. There will also be Ladies only shopping hours in the mornings May 25 and May 28.

The first 20,000 visitors will also receive a free Show Bag which will be filled with all sorts of gifts and surprises for all the family courtesy of the many sponsors of ITF 2006.

In addition to the Show Bags, organisers of International Trade Fair 2006 will be giving away a Home Theatre, DVD Player and electrical appliances from Giant Stores and Jumbo LG; and accommodation and meal awards from the five star hotels in Doha, plus many more surprises!

International Trade Fair 2006 is truly a family event with bilingual hosts on hand to introduce a variety of entertainment for all to enjoy. Kids can get their faces painted at the Jungle Zone while there will be magical shows.
