With a common vision of developing new concepts and services that optimize traffic flow, maximize safety and minimize expenses, this meeting proved to be extremely promising. It facilitated an exchange of bilateral views on transport and technology, emphasizing on the upcoming roads and transport infrastructure projects in Dubai. The delegates were also given an overview on the newly established organizational structure and the functioning of all its departments that work with a common objective to achieve the vision of providing smooth and safe transport for all in the Emirate.
H.E. Matter Al Tayer said,
'The RTA is committed towards adopting the best practices in every project it undertakes to achieve our objectives of making transport in Dubai safe and secure, while ensuring international standards for our transport infrastructure. This visit of the Belgium officials has been an honor for us and it has facilitated the exchange of ideas on developing the transport sector.'
'UAE in general and Dubai in particular is witnessing huge developments which have resulted in the influx of people and growth in business activities, making it imperative for us to provide the required infrastructure to support this burgeoning development,' he added.
Al Tayer also presented a crystal miniature of the Dubai Metro one of the most prestigious transport projects undertaken by the RTA to the Belgium Ambassador.
