Emirates Bank announces key enhancements on smartBUSINESS

Emirates Bank announced that it has implemented significant enhancements on smartBUSINESS, its online Corporate Internet Banking channel.

'Improvements have been based on customer feedback to provide online access based on preference of the business user. SmartBUSINESS now caters to all business segments be it large local businesses, government departments, multinationals or SME clients. The focus of the current enhancements has been to deliver an operationally convenient platform for use by small businesses and sole proprietorships in addition to Corporate and institutional Clients. For Business Groups, with holding company & subsidiary structures we have introduced account access rights that support centralized as well as decentralized treasury operations. We have also introduced bulk payment options for utility payments in addition to existing file upload capabilities for supplier and salary payments.'



Commenting on these improvements, Mr. Samir Sahu, Head Transaction Banking Division at Emirates Bank said, 'smartBUSINESS service is being constantly upgraded and it is our endeavor to provide solutions which assists businesses to better manage their working capital cycle. There is a clear trend in the UAE towards local businesses adopting ERP solutions and smartBUSINESS is designed to accept and provide ERP compatible information. Customers have appreciated the banks commitment towards smartBUSINESS as a flexible, convenient and secure service.'

Mr. Madhav Nair, Head Cash Management Services at Emirates Bank said, 'In a short duration, the bank has seen a significant growth in customer signups and there has been an exponential increase in online transactions initiated through smartBUSINESS. This has been possible because of a strong technology platform that is backed by a dedicated team of professionals who manage the product, sales & implementation and customer services.'

SmartBUSINESS offers several features that facilitate transaction banking and cash management for corporate clients. The platform has multi-user capability and file upload option for supplier & salary payments. Flexible Authorization Matrix that allows the users to setup authorization levels as per the company's requirements. The system has also been enhanced to provide Arabic Manager's cheque printing capabilities with complete payment details.

Customers can use the smartBUSINESS system to initiate a variety of payment products online and this includes, own Account Transfers, Third Party Transfers, e-wallet payments, Telegraphic Transfers, Demand Drafts, Manager's Cheque, Salary, Transfer to Other UAE Banks, Beneficiary payment option for making multi-mode payments, Etisalat & DEWA & Credit Card Payments, New Fixed Deposit & Amendment request, Cheque Book Request, Account Statement & download for account Reconciliation, and use of preferential exchange rates.
