Dubai's strategic geographical location, impressive infrastructure, cosmopolitan population, world class properties and convenient air connections play a crucial role in enabling the world to host prestigious events of any size.

'The MICE facilities in both the public and the private sector have been expanded to meet the growing needs of the global community. Dubai's capabilities to host more meetings, conferences and conventions are set to enhance with many more ambitious projects becoming a reality in the near future,' said Mr. Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, DTCM-DCB Director.

Earlier this year, more than 10,000 copies of the Definitive Meeting and Event Planners Guide 2006 listing the different MICE facilities in Dubai were distributed in global MICE markets to promote Dubai's image as a leading MICE destination of the world.

Mr. Awadh said:

'Dubai Convention Bureau has been working to promote and market Dubai as an excellent MICE destination throughout the year. We strive to make every meeting, convention a huge success and the participants' stay memorable.'

Dubai has hosted significant MICE events like the International Road Transport Union, ESNEP-Site European Meeting, Physio Dubai, Arabian Hotel and Investment Conference earlier this year and is preparing to host the Dertour Academy, Thomas Cook World Tour, Routes, FIATA World Congress, Annual World Dental Congress, Kuoni Golf Challenge, Point S, ACI and World Association of Cooks Societies (WACS) World Congress.
