Novell recently delivered five-day training classes to 15 Oracle Consultants, at Oracle local offices, Amman - Jordan, and prepared them to become certified Linux professionals - a key to delivering quality Linux technical support to the market.
The agenda was chosen by Oracle consultants, in line with their needs, as the entire team would be heavily focused on delivering Proof of Concepts (POC), Linux Demos, with a drive to improve the level of support on Suse Linux offered to the end-users in the region.
Mark Robinson - A Novell Certified Linux Instructor, currently working for a Novell Platinum Partner - Mind Works, completed this training recently. Oracle Consultants who attended the training received free Self study kits for the classes.
Extended, Comprehensive Custom Training covered technical skills assessment and deployment ensuring effective implementation of new products technologies and services on Linux.
Skills demonstrated by holding a Novell CLP certification include: installing Linux servers into a network environment, managing users and groups, troubleshooting the SUSE LINUX file system, managing and compiling the Linux kernel, and troubleshooting network processes and services, just to name a few. The course enables a person to effectively implement, manage, and support Linux and the enterprise services that run on top of it.
