The World Gold Council is proud to bring the best in gold jewellery trends to Dubai with this remarkable clique of Italian gold jewellers.
This initiative is sponsored by World Gold Council in association with the Vicenza Fair, whose trade fairs are the most important in the gold industry, and AngloGold Ashanti, one of the world's leading gold producer.
This initiative brings together the best in Italian designers and manufacturers to produce outstanding gold jewellery for sale world wide. Commercially focused, Gold Expressions aims to revitalise the Italian industry and increase the desirability of gold jewellery around the world.
Launched in Italy at the Vicenza Oro fair early this year in January, the gold jewellery collection has been around the world and has gained wide recognition for the talent and innovation in the pieces amongst the jewellery industry.
Key to Gold Expressions' success is consumer research that helps participating manufacturers design jewellery to appeal to the target groups of women. In fact, the pieces in this collection were designed according to World Gold Council research that identified the two most active groups of target consumers by their interest in purchase of gold jewellery, whether for self-purchase or gift-giving. The research formulated in-depth profiles of these groups including lifestyles, values, purchase habits and jewellery preferences.
The 2006 collection was displayed at the Park Hyatt from the 10th to the 11th of May 2006 where members of the press, buyers of the Middle East (wholesale & retail) were given the chance to meet the designers/manufacturers from Italy. The evening of 10th May hosted an unforgettable gala dinner and fashion show extravaganza, where the jewellery sashayed down the ramp by glamorous models.
Mr. Moaz Barakat, Managing Director of WGC, said, 'Since its inception, Gold Expressions has established a reputation for being the best forum where the buyers and sellers, and the international press, can identify new trends in gold jewellery. It is our effort to promote Italian jewellery in the world market, and provide a platform for talented designers/manufacturers to showcase their work. We are happy with the response we have got from the Middle East market.'
