The Dubai Service Excellence Scheme, initiated by the DED in 2003, hopes to raise the bar for customer service levels in Dubai. Mr. Khalid Ibrahim Al Kassim, Deputy Director General of Planning and Development, Dubai Economic Department (DED), presented Kanoo Travel with a trophy of appreciation at the annual DSES conference which aims to highlight the importance of service excellence in addition to creating a platform where DSES members can share their best practices.
Kanoo Travel, which provides the most comprehensive and specialised services in the travel industry, places special emphasis on servicing and managing relationships with its large customer base in the region for which it has won numerous service-quality awards in both the leisure and business travel sectors. Kanoo Travel qualified for the coveted DSES membership after scoring more than the minimum requirement of seventy five per cent on multiple service-oriented parameters in the mystery shopping test.
Kanoo Travel is the First and only Travel Management Company to win the Prestigious Dubai Quality Award in 2001 and the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Appreciation Award for 2004/2005. In order to provide service support to customers for any type of travel-related services, Kanoo Travel established a 24-hour Regional Call Centre.
