13,445 visitors and hundreds of millions in business deals mark The 3rd International Conference and Exhibition

The number of Iraqi visitors reached 4,025 contributing to the total visitor number of 13,445. The Exhibition registered a huge number of Jordanian businessmen, at 7,886, as well as 1,534 visitors from Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in addition to international visitors from 33 countries from across the world.

The Exhibition was distinguished by the attendance of Ministers from Jordan, Iraq and Pakistan and scores of Ambassadors and Officials alongside leaders and decision makers from Jordan and Iraq as well as a huge number of businessmen and foreign trade delegations from 48 countries.

Running alongside the Exhibition was the 3rd International Rebuild Iraq Conference which attracted 376 participants from 22 countries to hear from more than 60 speakers including 6 Iraqi Ministers and International Economic Experts.

Iraq's developing business environment and the demands of its markets were discussed alongside the many available business and investment opportunities. In addition to identifying the immediate construction and infrastructure situation, the priorities for rebuilding Iraq were highlighted alongside the Iraqi Government's strategies to tackle these areas.

Exhibitors concurred that visitors to the exhibition were of high quality and possessed definite requirements for products and services on display at the exhibition. Many exhibitors received proposals for their products and services and an exhibitor survey showed over 70% of the exhibitors would reserve places for their participation at the next IFP Rebuild Iraq Exhibition in 2007.

The importance of this event highlighted Jordan as the trade gateway to Iraq and enhanced its regional position as a centre for successful exhibitions. Jordanian companies additionally gained the opportunity to communicate with large international organisations and be updated on developments in different industrial and service sectors.

The Exhibition was held with the participation of 1,025 companies from 48 countries in addition to the formal and national participation of 38 countries taking pavilions and booths in four halls covering 60,000sqm of the Al Abdali site in the heart of Amman.
