GCC, Japan free trade talks

The GCC states and Japan commence talks in Riyadh today in a bid to set up a common free trade zone, reported Gulf News. The GCC delegation will be led by Hamad Al Bazie, a Saudi economic expert, while Japan is represented by a 15 strong delegation. Discussions are at a very preliminary stage and it is thought that it will take some time for the two parties to establish an agreement, following the Riyadh talks.
