SNAS/DHL celebrates second anniversary of 'Be a Hero' blood donation campaign
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, May 20 - 2006 at 12:10
- PRESS RELEASE
SNAS/DHL, Saudi Arabia's leading logistics solutions provider, today celebrated the second anniversary of its 'Be a Hero' blood donation campaign across the Kingdom.
The life-saving 'Be a Hero' campaign has received an enthusiastic response from SNAS/DHL employees and has now become an annual event. The commitment of Central region staff, their family and friends to the company's flagship corporate social responsibility campaign (CSR) was one of the catalysts this time round for extending the initiative to its second year.
Last year more than 150 people participated and almost 60 liters of potentially life saving blood was donated. Paul Chader, SNAS/DHL's Sales & Marketing Manager, said: "We are proud to take a leading role in meeting this crucial need".
"As a national company with its roots in the Kingdom we recognise our responsibility not only to participate in such events but to be at the forefront and to continue what we started last year. Our staff recognises the importance of the initiative and their response has, once again, been outstanding" Paul reiterates.
David Wilson SNAS/DHL Country Manager stated "SNAS/DHL employees have sent a clear message that the people of this Kingdom come first and our employees have shown that they are prepared to turn out in numbers to give their time and something as crucial as their blood where these are needed to save lives across the Kingdom."
