BBK Financial Mall official opening

Under the patronage of BMA Governor Mr Rasheed Al Maraj, the Kingdom's first financial mall will today be officially opened at the mall's premises in Adliya.

The revolutionary concept, launched by BBK as part of its 'brighter banking' strategy, features Bahrain's first automated cash depository station, an automated queuing system, which replaces the conventional queues and will result in increased time efficiency as well as financial advisory services.

The mall has been built to offer customers increased convenience, with an accessible location, dedicated parking, longer opening hours as well as telecommunications and insurance services, such as MTC-Vodafone and BKIC respectively . The architectural design is one of open and bright space, with ample seating for queuing customers.

The facility also offers major technological innovations, including a smart deposit machine, the first of its kind in the Kingdom. This allows clients to deposit cash directly in real time, thereby eliminating the need to wait until the next business day for the amount to be transferred to the account.

Financial advisors are based on site to assist new and existing clients with BBK's product offerings and to provide advice regarding the best services that suit the individual customers' needs.

To add to the one-stop-shop service, the financial mall also houses 3rd party partners whose personnel are available to provide their products to clients. In addition, a 24 hour drive-through ATM machine is also available.

Clients who wish to complete their e-banking at the site can also do so, with a dedicated e-bank station that links to the bank's online services. Reception staff, or meeters and greeters, are on hand to direct waiting customers to the automated terminals in the cases for which transactions can be performed automatically. This will help minimize queuing and enhance time efficiency.

Dr Farid Al-Mulla, BBK General Manager CEO said,
"We are all very pleased to mark the opening of the Financial Mall, which is a milestone event in BBK's development. Our emphasis on excellence in customer service is the key driver of our strategy, and the Mall is a major tool through which we hope to provide increased convenience and value to our clients."

"We are catering to the increasing needs of a highly sophisticated customer base, whose time is becoming increasingly more valuable. We will continue to provide the latest in innovative solutions and concepts to exceed our customers' expectations and provide unparalleled service. The Mall's soft launch was in March 2006, and we have received excellent feedback from our customers so far," said Dr Al Mulla.

The financial mall in Adliya replaces the old Adliya and Bahrain Center BBK branches, and is part of a longer term rollout plan which will replace most of the existing branches. A new facility is currently under construction in Budaiya. The Adliya mall is fully open for business from 8am-8pm, Saturday until Thursday.
