Dubai's spirit of innovation and leadership towards becoming an ideal international hub for business and leisure attracted CJ Corp, Korea's leading corporate entity with total assets worth KRW 5,990 billion (1KRW =0.003826 AED), to hold its third CEO Global Conference in Dubai and enable its top management learn about the emirate's vision and initiatives along with exploring business opportunities in the region.

The three-day event was held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai from May 18 to 20 with the theme 'Create the Future'.

More than 100 top officials of the Seoul-headquartered corporate giant attended the conference.

The attendees include Mr. Jay Hyun Lee, Chairman and CEO, CJ Group, Ms. Milky Lee, Vice Chairman of CJ Corp, Mr. Tae-Hong Choi, Managing Director, CJ Europe, and Mr. Jeong-Jin Kim, Executive Vice President, Global Strategy Team, CJ Corp.

The previous two CJ global conferences were held in Singapore and China.

The Dubai conference comes close on the heels of the first state visit to the UAE by a Korean President since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1980.

The DTCM Manager Missions, Mr. Hamad bin Mejren, addressed the conference on the opening day and offered the participants glimpses into Dubai's vision, development programmes, leadership initiatives and the future strategies.

In his 'Dubai Experience' presentation, he outlined the evolution of Dubai as an ideal business and leisure hub, the role and future plans of DTCM to promote and market Dubai as a year-round destination, initiatives to attract investments in real estate, manufacturing and other crucial sectors in Dubai and its free trade zones and the future business landscape.

He later participated in a Q&A session, sharing information about different facets of Dubai, its economy and development projects.

Mr. bin Mejren said: 'I am sure several favourable decisions will emerge from the CJ Corp as the presentation helped them understand Dubai at its best and the growth potential in the region utilizing the emirate as the business hub. We have assured the participants of our complete support to help the businesses grow in Dubai.'
