ICT Development Fund set up

The UAE Supreme Committee for the Supervision of the Telecommunications Sector has put together a nine member board of trustees to oversee the Middle East's first ICT Development Fund. The fund is an initiative aimed at developing the UAE's Information and Communication Technology sector. The key objectives are the continued expansion of the ICT industry, the encouragement of research and development and the promotion of education through sponsorships.
