Customers who purchase promotional cans of Jotun paints can collect 'Fortune Points', a new incentive by Jotun to reward customers with prizes.

The Fortune Points promotion got underway on May 1st 2006 and runs until August 31st 2006 across the Middle East (KSA, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Syria, Jordan and Oman) and aims to put the fun into buying paint by guaranteeing prizes to Jotun customers who purchase promotional cans of paint.

Jotun Paints has teamed up with leading hypermarket, Lulu, to offer lucky customers gift vouchers ranging in value, depending on the number of Fortune Points Jotun collected. After collecting just 30 points Jotun customers can start claiming their Lulu vouchers.

'We wanted to reward our customers for choosing Jotun Paints with a promotion that injects some fun into the process of buying paint while raising awareness of the Jotun brand to a wide audience,' said Ashish Vasudev, Retail Development Manager, Jotun Paints.

How Fortune Points Promotion Works

For every one or five gallon drum of Jotun Paints purchased during the promotion period customers are given a sticker, which when scratched reveals a 10 digit number. To collect their Fortune Points, lucky customers should sms the 10 digit code to a local GSM number displayed on the sticker. Customers will then immediately receive a message from Jotun confirming the number of Fortune Points that have been awarded.

At the end of the promotion period customers can claim their prize by taking their mobile phone to the nearest Jotun Multicolour Centre and producing their Jotun sms message confirming the number of points awarded.
