- PRESS RELEASE
American Express is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its 'Membership Rewards' customer loyalty programme with a Double Rewards campaign that gives Cardmembers a golden opportunity to win millions of points in monthly grand draws.
A million points translates into a host of benefits such as a five-night stay at the luxurious Burj-al-Arab hotel, 20 flights from the GCC to London or 80 flights within the GCC and much more.
Cardmembers are required to be enrolled into the Membership Rewards programme to earn Double Rewards points. During the Double Rewards offer, Cardmembers can enroll into the Membership Rewards programme for free, by calling American Express.
The Double Rewards promotion runs across the Middle East & North Africa region including the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt. Cardmembers enrolled into the Membership Rewards programme holding Green, Gold, Platinum Charge Cards and the new American Express® Gold Credit Card are eligible to earn double rewards. The Double Rewards promotion will hold monthly draws of two million Membership Rewards points in the first week of July, August and September 2006.
American Express is also offering its Blue Cardmembers Double MoneyBack on a minimum monthly spend anywhere in the world. The Double MoneyBack offer is valid during the same promotion period of 1 June to 31 August 2006.
Marketing Director of American Express Middle East & North Africa Region, Premal Patel, said the Double Rewards campaign offers double rewards, double value and double excitement. "This is a time for celebration as our award winning loyalty programme reaches an important milestone of offering value added benefits to our Cardmembers for 10 years."
Xavier George, Portfolio and Loyalty Manager at American Express Middle East & North Africa said: "The Double Rewards promotion is the first of its kind in the region offering Cardmembers guaranteed Double Points and double draw chances.
