NBAD set a new UAE record in financial performance at the end of 2005 by achieving a net profit of AED 2.58 billion. Winner of the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Gold Award and the Dubai Quality Award for excellence, the bank also received the 'Best Bank in UAE' awards from Euromoney and Banker publications during 2005, which reaffirmed NBAD's position as the Number One bank in the UAE.
