'These students have come a very long way in the last couple of months. We are very proud to be able to offer them such fantastic opportunities within the bank.'
Once the students have graduated from the programme, they are placed in various departments throughout the bank where they continue to train for a period of six weeks. After this time, a permanent placement is determined for each of the graduates.
Al Misha'al Programme is the first programme of its kind in the UAE that inducts high-school graduates into the bank after two months of rigorous training on various job-related topics such as English, Math, Basic Banking, Branch
Automation, Customer Service, Working in a Multi-Cultural Environment and Business Etiquettes.
With almost 33 per cent of NBD's workforce being UAE nationals, the bank is one of the largest employers of Nationals in the UAE banking sector and private sector as a whole. Today, the bank has fifteen batches of Al Misha'al trainees successfully working within various branches and departments of the bank.
