Once again there is a mentioning of the name Grand Rotana Resort & Spa Sharm El Sheikh, this time for its hosting for some of the World Economic Forum's delegations.

The Grand Rotana Resort & Spa was the chosen venue by three of the WEF delegations from Kuwait, Qatar & UAE for their stay during the conference.

This choice was a natural consequence due to the resort superb location overlooking the Red Sea and endless desert landscapes, which contrast with the crystal clear blue water along with its outstanding services & facilities it offers to all high ranked top governmental officials.

The World Economic Forum was officially opened on May 19th, 2006 with a call to the international community to work together to resolve regional conflicts. 'Peace and development are indivisible,' was the call made by President Mubarak to more than 1,200 government, business and civil society leaders from 46 countries meeting in Sharm El Sheikh.

The Co-Chairs of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East have set five pillars for action to help prepare the way for a more prosperous future for the region. Over the course of the three-day meeting, participants focused on democracy, peace and stability; youth and understanding; global integration; investing in the future; and the business agenda.
