UAE, 99% tele penetration

The UAE's telecommunications industry ranks second in mobile teledensity according to the latest figures released by the Arab Advisors Group, reported Gulf News. The UAE's teledensity stands at 99%, behind only Bahrain at 105.8%. The UAE's fixed line penetration stands at 27% and Etisalat now has a domestic subscriber base of 4.7m. Its Saudi subsidiary has a further 3m subscribers.
