Japan wants Iran oil go-ahead

Japanese oil developer Inpex Corporation has confirmed that it wants to go ahead with its $1bn deal to develop Iran's Azadegan oil field, reported Reuters. Iranian officials have warned that the deal could be cancelled in September as no significant work has yet taken place. But a spokesman for Inpex claimed that work could only start once Iran had completely cleared the area of all landmines.
