The award is being organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) to appreciate the efforts of the companies in the UAE in developing business sectors and contributing to the country's economic development.
DCCI organizes the MRM Business Award under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The award involves four main business categories that include manufacturing, financial services, re-exporting and constructions.
A large number of Jafza's leading companies will be participating in the award in order to promote and improve its outstanding business performance and encourage other Jafza companies to upgrade its performance.
A seminar will be jointly organized by Jafza and the DCCI on May 30 due to be held at the Dubai Investments Park aiming to provide the participants with complete information about the award and highlight the benefits they could get.
'Since its inception, the MRM Award turned to be an ideal platform to the participating companies through which they could share information about best business practices, the technical know-how and ideas. Jafza's involvement with the award provides an excellent learning experience for us that will successfully raise the profile of our companies among the business community and the general public' said Salma Hareb, CEO, Jafza.
The award has managed to generate significant public recognition of the efforts, accomplishments and positive contributions of companies and business people of the UAE. Entrants in all categories are judged on various criterion underpinned by the program's values of business success and performance. Recipients of the award will receive recognition as leading examples of how businesses can play a significant part in a country's growing economy.
H.E. Abdurrahman Al-Mutaiwee, DCCI Director General, said 'The MRM Business Award was initiated to celebrate the success of business concerns in the UAE which have positively contributed to the development of business sectors in the country. I, hereby, urge all incorporations and companies in Jafza to take part in this significant Award which would provide them with a valuable feedback on their strengths and weaknesses in doing business and a chance to compare their own practices with the best in the industry and show them ways in which they can enhance their competitiveness.'
Since its inception last year, the MRM Business Award has grown in stature to become one of the UAE's most prestigious business accolades that publicly acknowledges the vital contributions made by companies and individuals.
'We are proud to be a part of this prestigious award that encourages and sustains the entrepreneurial spirit, and illustrates the depth of talent present in the UAE. As Jafza continues to attract more and more organizations from all verticals, we are committed to raise Dubai's image as the top business destination in the world,' concluded Hareb.
