Floating bridge for Creek

A new temporary floating bridge is to be opened about half a kilometre from the Al Maktoum bridge in order to ease traffic congestion, reported Gulf News. A new permanent bridge will replace the temporary one once a design has been agreed. The bridge will be the fourth over the creek after the Al Maktoum bridge, Al Garhoud bridge and the Ras Al Khor bridge which is currently under construction.
