The show, which features over 650 exhibitors from 40 countries, is guaranteed to educate, excite and thrill thousands of anticipated visitors. Buyers will find every aspect of the automotive aftermarket at Automechankia, which is more than just a trade fair; it is part of an international circuit of auto events organized by Messe Frankfurt, one of the most renowned exhibition organisers across the globe.

Through their global presence and resources today at 3pm an educational seminar commenced under the Atuomechanika Academy brand, which addresses economic technical and scientific issues within the industry.

As well as being educational, there is also an abundance of fun to be had at this year's show. Automechanika enables enthusiasts to customize their cars, as one does with appearance, creating not only something unique, but an extension of ones personality. An example of this is the very special feature, which takes place on Monday 29th May, "Bling Your Ride".

This is a market that is constantly growing, not only through supply and demand, but also through technology and innovation. Within the UAE cars are luxurious, young and nurtured. According to Michael Dehn, Exhibition Manager, "The UAE government statistics indicate that the automotive sector is worth in excess of Dhs46 billion, with continued exponential growth. Within Dubai alone the import market for automotive afterparts is approx Dhs18 billion, of this 60% are re-exports."

Dubai Ports and Customs have confirmed these figures, with a category growth of 40%. At 11am, Hall 2 on Monday 29th Adel Al Ashram, Head of Statistics Department, Dubai Ports and Customs will be presenting the latest statistics for this ever-increasing market.

Automechanika is the perfect platform to launch the latest pioneering ideas. Cummins launched their latest strategy in customer care, a new network of exclusive Cummins retail premises in the UAE. Cummins, a global power leader and manufacturer of engines and related technologies, will be establishing 3 showrooms and service centres across the UAE including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The opening of the first outlet coincides with Cummins participation at the show where the company will also be revealing two other major initiatives.

A new, refined focus on their core competencies is reflected in a major re-branding initiative where the Cummins name, reputed for dependability across many industry sectors, will be applied to many of the groups' previous company names.

According to Mohammed Abdel-Zaher, Cummins' Regional After Market Manager, "This development is a global strategy to underline and project a stronger, unified image."

Details of the branding programme will be one of the main features of Cummins' participation at Automechanika. Another major focus of their marketing effort will be the launch of new range of 1,400 "Recon" genuine Cummins spare parts.
According to Abdel-Zaher, Cummins collect used core parts for reconditioning by Cummins. He also stressed, "these are the only genuine Cummins Recon spare parts and will be available through the new retail network."
