The 202W has an impressive eight millisecond response time, which avoids blurring when watching video content. This offers superior gaming and movie viewing experiences for consumers. Unlike other TN-based panels, this model also manages wide viewing angles and smooth colour gradations. The 202W has a 16.7 million colour capability, rather than the usual 16.2 million available from TN panels. On the outside, this model is tidy and minimalist, and fits compactly on most desks.

"From the 'all white' design of the 93V model that won the prestigious 2006 CES Technology is a Girl's Best Friend (TechGirl) Diamond Product Showcase, to the world's fastest 20-inch widescreen LCD monitor, BenQ's award-winning LCD monitors combine innovative designs and the latest technological advances. This model demonstrates our ambition to provide products that enhances and fits in with the digital lifestyles of our customers," said Manish Bakshi, general manager, BenQ Middle East and Africa.

"LCD monitors are likely to surpass traditional cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors by 2008. Prices for LCD monitors have fallen substantially due to oversupply and further price erosions are still possible. Out of the estimated market size of 1.08 million sets of LCD monitors in the Middle East, we aim to capture sizeable market share this year," Bakshi added.

According to research by American group BNA, BenQ currently is amongst the top three manufacturers of LCD monitors in the Middle East region. Its LCD monitors are highly rated across the Middle East for 'brand positioning', and enjoys the top spot in Egypt and second in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Besides enhanced image quality, the BenQ 202W also offers a 1680x1050 high resolution, as well as a 600:1 contrast ratio. The featured wide-screen design of 43cm in screen width allows the user to display and comfortably read two pages of text side-by-side. At the same time, this format preserves the display of content such as DVD movies and games in their original format without cropping or compression.

This model also features BenQ's proprietary 'Senseye' digital-enhancement technology that automatically and dynamically improves image quality, adjusts brightness and darkness levels, performs color mapping procedures, and reduces jagged edges on images. It keeps images clear and sharp by processing still and moving images separately and eliminating all source signal noise out.
