Lebanon piracy battle

Lebanon has made slight progress in its efforts to bring down the software piracy rate in the country and is no longer in the list of 20 nations with the highest piracy rates. An independent study conducted by the International Data Corporation showed Lebanon's piracy rate to have declined from 75% in 2004 to 73% in 2005. Total losses incurred by Lebanon on account of piracy in 2005 totalled $36m.
