Jebel Ali International Hotels supports 'Candelight Foresight' charity evening

The event, which will take place on Monday 5th June, will see hundreds of Dubai residents dine at the city's leading restaurants in an effort to raise valuable funds for Foresight. Restaurants in each of the properties within Jebel Ali International Hotels will be participating in this great venture by donating the revenue of one table for four to the Foresight organisation.

Additionally the Oregano restaurant at the Oasis Beach Hotel, which recently won the What's On Award as Dubai's Favourite European Speciality Restaurant, will be a special supporter of the event in an association with Candlelight foreSight and the Bridget Jones Club. The restaurant will donate the proceeds of a table for 20, booked by the ladies of the Club in their effort to support the event as well. All the ladies will be dining blindfold.

Bateaux Dubai is also going the extra mile with a special event on board for Dubai's well known DJ's and other foreSight guests. Additional restaurants where Dubai residents can dine to support this event include White Orchid, La Fontana, Signatures, La Traviata and Shooters at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa; Bazaar and Singapura at the Oasis Beach Hotel and Bateaux Dubai, the elegant dining cruise vessel on Dubai Creek. Nineteen at The Montgomerie Dubai, The Lakes Clubhouse and the Arabian Ranches clubhouse.

Foresight is a Dubai-based organisation which raises funds for research to accelerate a cure for blindness caused by Retinitis Pigmentosa, a disease which affects millions of people worldwide. The organisation furthermore also aims to support people within the community who suffers from visual impairment, and raise awareness of the difficulties these individuals face in their everyday lives.

In the UAE blindness is the most common form of disability and worldwide one person goes blind every 5 seconds. The Foresight logo represents the last colour that people with this illness see before they go blind - orange.
