The company has also announced that it will be introducing a similar range of quality aftermarket parts for European vehicles later this year.

The move comes as ACDelco, which focuses on serving all Asian, European and North American vehicle makes and models, gears up to show its comprehensive range of competitively priced aftermarket parts at this year's Automechanika Gulf Exhibition taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (28 - 30 May 2006).

ACDelco will be exhibiting under its "All Makes, All Models, All Quality Parts" theme, which has been at the spearhead of the company's successful push to build a strong, dynamic and growing aftermarket business across the region, providing customers with a quality line up of automotive parts.

In the face of strong market demand, the network of very popular and convenient ACDelco Service Centres is also set to expand by 50% by the end of the year (up from 30 to 45), significantly increasing the availability of parts and aftermarket service pan-region.

Glenn Heller, manager for sales and marketing parts at General Motors, said: "We have seen the All Makes, All Models, All Quality Parts" range increasing in popularity as more and more people, whose vehicle warranties have expired, recognise the quality and price competitiveness of our parts.

"We will be looking to build on this success over the coming months, notably with the introduction of parts for European vehicles and the expansion of the ACDelco Service Centre network.

"We have seen strong market demand for the latter from customers who require a fast, efficient and unbeatable automotive service that's supported by the use of quality parts backed up with a 12 month warranty."

ACDelco, which is a subsidiary of General Motors, has been an integral part of the automotive industry for almost 100 years, establishing a reputation for setting industry standards for top quality automotive parts.

Since ACDelco was launched in the Middle East in the early 1990s the brand has quickly become synonymous with quality, safety and reliability. ACDelco is already the market leader in automotive batteries, supplying a battery for every vehicle available in the Middle East.

General Motors' aftersales business, in which ACDelco plays a significant role, posted a record year in 2005, with sales increasing by more than 46 percent.
