Dubai businesses go for Djibouti

Dubai-based businesses have invested more than $600m in Djibouti following DP World's takeover of management of the country's major harbour, according to Gulf News. DP World has invested $300m in the Horizon Djibouti Terminal and committed $300m for a new container port. Developer Nahkeel is building a five-star hotel, the first phase of which will cost $150m; and Al Fajer Properties is looking to invest $100m in an island resort.
