- PRESS RELEASE
At a press conference held at the state-of-the-art Ski Dubai venue in Mall of the Emirates, DSS COO, Ibrahim Saleh announced the launch of this year's episode of the DSS Grand Raffle.
The DSS Grand Raffle, the biggest raffle draw of the summer season is held under the aegis of DSS office in association with Arabian Gulf Mechanical Centre (AGMC), the exclusive importer of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce in Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates and Emarat and has proved to be a major attraction of the summer fiesta over the past years. Launched in 2004, the BMW raffle as it is popularly known is much in demand by residents as well as visitors. Last year it saw a huge sale of tickets and 20 top of the line BMW cars were given away as prizes along with millions of dirhams in cash.
Said Ibrahim Saleh, "We are very happy to announce the launch of this huge summer raffle. It has been a very popular event since its very first episode in the year 2004. This year too we are offering an expensive BMW car and cash prize and will once again be conducting the draws in public places which will be aired live on TV. One winner will be picked up for every 5000 tickets sold. It's a great opportunity for people to try their luck and walk away with the grand prizes."
Added Stathis I. Stathis, general manager, Arabian Gulf Mechanical Centre, "AGMC is providing a number of BMW X5 4.8is cars for the Dubai Summer Surprises Grand Raffle giving participants an opportunity to experience premium luxury, associated only with the BMW brand. This is a reinforcement of our continual commitment to the community," he said.
"We are confident that our partnership with Dubai Summer Surprises will play a significant role in creating awareness of the BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brands in Dubai and strengthen BMW Group's position as the leading premium car manufacturer in the Middle East," said Stathis.
Added Hussein Kazim, Communications Manager, Emarat, "We always welcome the existing and continuous cooperation with our partners for providing our customers with the best services and special offers, to positively communicate and enhance our relationship with them.
"Emarat's annual experience in participating in the grand summer draws on BMW cars, organised by the DSS, has proved to be very successful in the past. This year too an increase in the number of participants and sales at participating Emarat petrol stations is expected," said Kazim.
"Our participation in this year's DSS event will be an extension of our successes achieved in the previous editions. This year's participation will further boost our success, particularly with all necessary capabilities and facilities being put in place to achieve the required goals. Participants in car show and draws will be able to get more chances to win," he mentioned.
A promotional campaign will be held to encourage people to take part in the DSS Grand Raffle by buying the draw coupons from Emarat petrol stations, he added.
The tickets for the DSS Grand raffle will be available at all Emarat Petrol stations in Dubai as well as at the following shopping malls and street-side venues: Deira City Center, Al Reef Mall, BurJuman, Mall of Emirates, Ibn Battuta Mall, Modhesh Fun City (Dubai World Trade Center), Baniyas Street, Gold Souq and Al Fahidi Street.
