AUD begins receiving student applications for the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid scholarship

The American University in Dubai (AUD) is now open for receiving applications for the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Scholarships for its coming academic year 2006 - 2007.
This was announced by AUD's Vice President, Mr. Elias Bou Saab, who added that the scholarships provided by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE's Vice President and Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai, to nationals and expatriates has achieved its goals in sponsoring distinguished students, which was recently embodied in the AUD's class 2006 valedictorian Mahmoud Al Burai who acquired his degree through HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid's Scholarship.
Bou Saab also pointed out that Nokia Worldwide offers scholarships for eminent students, and sponsors students with exceptional academic performance.
In addition, AUD's management decided to offer new scholarships to applicants to the Engineering school. These scholarships cover 50% of the tuition for a student that scored 90% and above in high school and provided that the student satisfies the admission requirements of studying at AUD's School of Engineering that offers specializations in Civil, Electrical, Computer and Telecommunication Engineering.
It is to be noted that the Engineering school at AUD was established in collaboration with the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA - rated as one of the best five engineering universities in the US.
It is worthy noting that lately AUD's management chose 30 private schools in the UAE to grant their top students a scholarship at the University, in an attempt to encourage students with excellent academic performance and provide them with the best academic support possible.
Bou Saab ended his remarks by inviting and urging all high school students satisfying the requirements for a scholarship at AUD to book their places for the coming academic year, wishing them all successful academic and professional careers.

The American University in Dubai is a private, non-sectarian institution of higher learning founded in 1995. Fall 2005, enrolment is 2,356 students representing eighty nationalities.AUD offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
