Currently the only hard disk camcorder in the market with the capability to record 5.1 channel surround sound, DCR-SR100 delivers dramatic sound playback by picking up distinctive surround sounds with an optional wireless Bluetooth™ microphone (ECM-HW1).

The 1/3" 3 mega pixel CCD with a Primary Colour filter and a high-quality Carl Zeiss® Vario Sonnar® T* lens system maximizes high colour, light sensitivity and sharp capture of objects in action. Sharing of these excellent quality movies and images is easy with a one-touch DVD burn button.

"Besides the current wide range of Handycam® models, Sony is now giving customers the option of a hard disk camcorder with a higher video capacity that lets you record over 20 hours of home videos. Handycam® has integrated the strengths of its high-end camcorder features and 5.1channel surround sound ability to provide extended shooting hours for the utmost experience that is as close as possible to the original scene in both image and sound quality." said Mr. Masaru Tamagawa, managing director, Sony Gulf FZE.

Cutting Edge Advantages

With all the benefits of shooting with a 30GB hard disk camcorder, the DCR-SR100 conserves minimal energy at a low 4.2W for a longer shooting experience. One can record up to seven hours of DVD movie-quality video or more than 21 hours in long play mode.

It's 3G SensorTM with Video Stream Buffering system protects the hard disk and safeguards internal mechanisms to help prevent data loss. Users can also enjoy the camcorder's 3 mega pixel still capture in 4:3 aspect ratios, built-in flash and wide 2.7-inch SwivelScreen™ LCD display.

Easy Post Production Abilities

The compact DCR-SR100 provides users with convenient ways to secure precious memories and seamless PC connectivity. The one-touch DVD burn button transfers videos automatically onto a DVD via high speed transfer to a PC. The bundled software provides users the option to edit videos, organize DVD titles and select videos to be copied onto the DVD manually. All these can be managed with one friendly interface.
