Dubai Knowledge Village announced today its participation in the second Annual Middle East Conference of the Harvard Arab Alumni Forum.

Knowledge Village will be one of the Gold sponsors of the leading international Middle East dialogue platform.

To be held under the theme of 'Success Stories in the Arab World', the Harvard Arab Alumni Forum 2006 will be held on May 28, at the Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The conference is being jointly organised by the Harvard Arab Alumni Association and the Dubai School of Government, and will feature four panel discussions: one each on business, education, media, and policy reform, all on success stories in the region.

The panels will discuss Entrepreneurship in the Arab world: Perspectives from the region's leading entrepreneurs, Tertiary education in the Arab world: Successes and ongoing challenges, The state and future prospects of economic growth in the Arab world: Perspectives from the region's leading policymakers , and the Arab world's finance industry: Aspirations, Global positioning, and challenges, the speakers will include Fadi Ghandour: Founder, President, and CEO of ARAMEX International, Adel Ali : CEO of Air Arabia, Dr. Wadih Atiya, Dean of Undergraduate Programs at the American University of Sharjah, Dean Daniel Alonso, M.D.: Dean of Cornell Medical School in Qatar, Dr. John Waterbury: President of the American University of Beirut, HE Dr. Basem Awadallah: Jordanian Former Minister of Planning, HE Sheikha Lubna Al Qassimi: UAE Minister for Economy and Planning, Sameer Al Ansari: CEO Dubai International Capital, Hassan Heikal: Co-Chairman and CEO of EFG-Hermes, Arif Naqvi: Executive Vice-Chairman and CEO of Abraj Capital, Ahmad Tantash: Chairman & CEO of Jordinvest

The Harvard Arab Alumni Association was established in 2001 to pursue four objectives, Provide a network for Harvard alumni with an interest in the Arab world, Provide a forum for dialogue of all issues of interest to the membership, both through a quarterly newsletter in which members share opinion pieces, and through an annual conferences in which members of the global community come together to discuss important issues facing the Arab world, Organize and sponsor educational initiatives of importance to the Arab world, and Strengthen ties between Harvard University and the Arab world.
