UAE set for smoking law

The UAE is set for tighter anti smoking laws by the end of the year, reported Gulf News. An outright ban on smoking in public places is likely to be approved, as well as tighter controls on the smoking of shisha. A senior figure at the Ministry of Health said that it might take some time for the proposed law to be ratified by the President.
