UAE calls for Aids support

The UAE has called on the international community to do more to provide social and economic support to developing nations fighting the spread of the Aids virus, reported Gulf News. Dr Mahmoud Fikri, heading the UAE's delegation to the United Nations, told the UN General Assembly's meeting to review progress made against the disease, that the UAE was concerned by the speed of the spread of the virus in some nations.
